Call for Proposals - CMI 2010
The CMI 2010 Planning Team invites you to submit a proposal to present a break-out session at the National Curriculum Mapping Conference in Saratoga Springs, New York, July 13-18, 2010.
This year's Curriculum Mapping Conference has been specifically designed to help educators and leadership teams use the mapping process to rethink their curriculum to integrate 21st century tools and strategies.
Individuals may submit more than one proposal. In order to be considered you must complete each of the following steps on our website:
- Follow this link or click on Contact on top menu bar and then click Collaboration System in the left-hand column.
- If you were a collaborator last year or the year before, use your existing email address and the password you created.
- If you are not a registered collaborator, click the registration link and follow the instructions. You will be required to confirm your registration.
- Click Profile from the second menu bar and complete and/or edit your entire profile including name, contact information including phone numbers, and a brief biography that highlights your experience in the mapping process.
- You MUST check your availability at the bottom of your Profile page by January 31, 2010.
- You must also upload a head-shot photo by January 31, 2010.
- To create a proposal, click Proposals from the second menu bar and click the New button on the top right of the white area.
- All collaborators must complete the session title, co-presenter (if any), type, and most relevant phase.
- All collaborators must complete the description field with a 3-5 sentence description and 2-3 specific bulleted outcomes by January 31, 2010.
- New collaborators only: please complete any or all of the additional fields so the planning team can fully understand the scope of your proposal.
- Once you have completed a proposal be sure to click the Save button.
- You may Edit your proposal while it is still in draft mode. You may also create, save, and edit other proposals.
- Once you are satisfied with your proposal, you must select the proposal and click the Submit button. Proposals will not be considered until they have been submitted.
- Pending proposals cannot be edited until they are approved, so please make your proposal as complete as possible.
- Once a proposal is approved you must indicate your arrival and departure dates and times on your Profile page once your travel is confirmed (but no later than April 1). You may also edit your proposal at this time.
We strongly encourage you to look over the Conference flyer on our website as you work to align your proposal(s) with the theme of the conference.
All of the above items must be completed before your proposal(s) will be considered. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2010.
Individuals whose proposals are accepted will be notified by February 15. If your proposal is accepted, you will receive one free registration. In the event of co-presenters, only one registration will be awarded to the team.
Please contact Ann Johnson, ann@curriculumdesigners.com, if you have questions about the proposals.
Contact Earl Nicholas, earl@curriculumdesigners.com, if you encounter problems entering the collaboration website or uploading your photo.
Please note that even if your proposal is accepted, we will be unable to include you on the program until we have all of the information above.
We hope that you will submit proposals and join us in Saratoga Springs in July!
Best Regards and Happy Holidays!
